Monells is a medieval town, considered as the largest in terms of land, is divided into three cores.

- Cruïlles, which retains the last vestige of the original castle, a cylindrical tower is curiously topped by an olive tree.

- L'Heura, consists of long narrow streets, although this is not no trace remains, the bell can be considered as one of the defenses.

- Monells, is divided into two districts, the Castell and Riera, the castle is an organized urban set in the Plaza Mayor and the neighborhood of the Riera has the Church of St. Genis, highly recommended visit.
